A temple in the Jodo Shinshu tradition

Dharma Recovery

Dharma Recovery is a Buddhist-based recovery from alcohol, sex, drugs, food, shopping, relationships--any attachment, addiction or obsessive behavior you need to change.

The First Noble Truth tells us that life is suffering.  As promised by the Four Noble Truths, there is a way out of our suffering - The Eightfold Path.

We read books recommended by our Supervising Minister Reverend Marvin Harada, and after a short reading, open the floor to discussion.  We are currently reading One Breath at a Time:  Buddhism and the Twelve Steps, by Kevin Griffin.  If you need a copy, they are available for purchase from the book cart.  We also share copies at the meetings.

Newcomers are welcome.  This is an anonymous meeting.  What you see here and what you hear here, stays here.  The group has two temple member facilitators.  We meet twice a month on Sunday after the temple service, usually 11:30 (but early afternoon when the temple has a special service).  The next meeting is always listed on the home page of our web site.  Follow the pink signs.
