About the Event
Can you believe VBT hasn't hosted an in-person Book Club event since before COVID? Well, Book Club is back!
Join us as we read and discuss selected articles from the book "Making the Temple Home"; articles will speak to both heritage Buddhist and convert Buddhist experiences. This short book of reflections will be available at the temple at-no-cost 1-2 weeks before the book club event (made possible through the Jodo Shinshu International Office (JSIO)). We will be focusing our discussion on four reflections:
The Way to the Dharma through Taiko (p25-27)
Overcoming Fear, Encountering the Nembutsu (p41-43)
Moving Back to My New Home (p57-63)
Born Into Jodo Shinshu Versus Living It (p77-83)
